Our Scholars Bowl Team Members will be chosen soon!! They will be competing May 8th and 9th.
We will again be having our annual Career Day on March 21st.
Our school will be hosting former East Ridge students that are now community leaders in a variety of professions. Our students will be given the opportunity to see presentations and ask questions of the presenters as they rotate from classroom to classroom. A big THANK YOU to Mrs. Vicki Brady and Mrs. Gwen Carpenter for leading his event again this year.
As we get closer to Spring, that means it’s getting closer to testing season. Our students and teachers have been working very hard to prepare for the upcoming tests. As always, please encourage your students to relax and do their best on each of the test. The dates of the test are as follows: March 13-17-Spring ELA test, April 10-13 STAR screener, and April 17-26 TCAP.
As our 8th graders begin getting prepared to leave our school, there are a few very important dates that we want to make you aware of: March 20th our 8th graders and parents will be asked to go to East High for registration. We will be sending a letter home with each student with their assigned time to meet with the faculty, counselor, or administrators from East High. Another important date to remember is March 13th. On this date East High will be holding their annual AP (Advanced Placement) Fair in the East High auditorium. A flier with more details will be sent home with each 8th grader.
Please remember Spring Break is March 27th-31st.
It’s wonderful to be your principal at The Ridge!
