Bryar Smith and his sugar gliders
|
East Ridge Middle School had visitors to help students understand animal adaptations. The visitors, "sugar gliders," have the following adaptations: big eyes because they are nocturnal; gliding membrane (flap) that is between there front and hind legs to help them glide from place to place; and special feet and claws to help them "stick" where they land.
Teachers are Jill Helton and Kathryn Nielson
