History

How we began---What we have become

East Ridge Middle School Began as a 65,000 square foot open-spaced, nongraded school and opened the doors to students on September 1, 1972. In January, 2001, East Ridge moved into its present new building with all enclosed, individual classrooms. The old building is now the Russellville Primary School.

Student enrollment at East Ridge is about 590. The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders enjoy a curriculum of academic and related arts subjects as well as opportunities for participating in many before and after school activities.
